THOMAS GUGGEIS named New Music Director of the Oper Frankfurt starting in 2023

Thomas Guggeis has been named New Music Director of Frankfurt Opera and will succeed Sebastian Weigle in 2023.

Frankfurt intendant Bernd Loebe said: Despite his young age Thomas Guggeis is not just a talent anymore, he is extraordinarily advanced in everything expected of a conductor in such an important position." He feels confident that this ‚fresh wind‘ will inspire him and everybody in company. "So Sebastian Weigle’s handing over is happening in a very harmonious way."
