Simone Young to conduct "Der Rosenkavalier" at the Metropolitan Opera New York

As a guest conductor, SIMONE YOUNG returns to the MET this season for Strauss’s grand Viennese comedy “Der Rosenkavalier”. Among the cast you can hear Soprano Lise Davidsen as the aging Marschallin, opposite mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey as her lover Octavian and Bass Günther Groissböck returns as the churlish Baron Ochs. Simone Young takes the Met podium to oversee Robert Carsen’s fin-de-siècle staging (Source: metopera.org).
