Simone Young receives honorary membership from the Vienna State Opera and conducts Peter Grimes

Simone Young starts the year 2022 with Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes at the Wiener Staatsoper. Since her celebrated revival of Strauss' Daphne in the 2011/2012 season, she has been a regular guest in Vienna with new productions and revivals. Erik van Heyningen sings in the role of Hobson under her direction. The baritone is a member of the ensemble of the Vienna State Opera.

Following the performance of Peter Grimes on February 2, 2022, conductor Simone Young will be awarded honorary membership of the Vienna State Opera.
