Great success of the new production of "Lohengrin" at the Opéra National de Paris under the baton of ALEXANDER SODDY, directed by KIRILL SEREBRENNIKOV, WOLFGANG KOCH as Telramund

The highly anticipated premiere of the new production of "Lohengrin" at the Opéra National de Paris is a triumph, acclaimed by the press and audience alike.

Returning to the Opéra de Paris after his successful debut there with Peter Grimes last season, conductor Alexander Soddy's has been celebrated for his outstanding performance:

"In the pit, Alexander Soddy, praised last season for his remarkable conducting of Peter Grimes, grips the orchestra members - so amorphous in Don Giovanni, which is currently being performed in rotation (3) - with zeal to make the lines of this delicate sonic fresco sing, rendering each line with subtlety, from the most ethereal piano to the most powerful forte." (concert classic)

This new production marks Kirill Serebrennikov's debut at the Opéra de Paris, with critics writing: "somber, complex and fascinating. A hyper-sensitive artist, abused and forced into exile by the authorities of his homeland, he has today created a body of work closely linked to the turmoil of the time. His theater, film, and opera adaptations are an echo chamber as painful as they are lucid, allowing him to tell of his times and illuminate the unbearable immutability of the world." (concertclassic)

Singing Telramund, Wolfgang Koch offers a great performance with his beautiful timbre and his acting.
